Video Interactive Guidance (VIG) is a way of working with children and families which uses a strengths-based approach to improve communication and help parents to respond in an attuned way to their child. The National Institute of Health and Care Excellence recommended using VIG in its guidance on children's attachment. In collaboration with Julie Davis from Future Steps Occupational Therapy Service, we provide group interventions for families.
Future STARS is a 14-week therapy group programme. Future STARS is designed specially around the needs of children with sensory and attachment difficulties to support and develop their regulatory systems, emotional and behavioural responses, sensory-motor foundations, and positive attachments to others.
Training provided on attachment, therapeutic parenting, attachment focused intervention and attunement.
