I am an Independent Social Worker and have an avid interest in the area of attachment and developmental trauma. I have a Masters in Attachment Studies which focused on the Dynamic Maturational Model (DMM) of Attachment and Adaptation. I am passionate about the extensive additional information that using DMM informed assessments can provide in developing a more comprehensive understanding of the parents or carers and children we work with and their functioning. Through this additional training I have witnessed the value and importance of attachment focused assessment and interventions in empowering families to make the necessary changes in their lives and enabling them to heal.
I am trained in a number of interventions which include Video Interactive Guidance, Sensory Attachment intervention (level 1), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (Level 1 and 2), Theraplay (level 1), Dialectical Behavioural therapy and Heartmath.
